Where’d all my LOLSPAM go?

If your still reading this and you haven’t run away after being blasted with the words YOU SUCK at 7.30am in the morning, then this is the strangest thing thats ever happened in my career as a computer person. If I actually had a computer career. And if I actually was a person.

It was really stupid. I used to get out the shower at around 6pm every day, and there would be 6 or 7 messages offering me up various drugs, cars and boobs as I stand naked before the computer. The weirder thing was the message were 2 or 3 minutes apart.

I reckon WordPress is secretly the Chuck Norris of the spam world.. because coincidentally, when I started this blog last Thursday, all my spam went away. Seriously, no more 6pm-screwovers, just the odd email thats trying to do off with my bank account details for whatever reason.

In all professionalism, I may be onto something here, or the pigeon thats pecking at the enter button fell asleep for the last couple of days, so I’ll see whats going on specifically, but its really strange. But I’m not complaining. The spam filter in Windows Live Hotmail is okay, but it doesn’t do a epic job, but it doesn’t do a completely rubbish job at the same time. But being able to pass through the filters 6 or 7 times every day is kinda poor. I mean, I came back from a weekend away with my girlfriend and her folks, and checking my email the night I got back, its just a load of huff. Not one single message in about 20 was of any use.

But there you go, when blogging took on spam.

Of course none of this stuff about WordPress being a monkey with a plasma gun is true, but its kinda nice to have more email from real people than robots wanting $5 for a sandwich.

..And there goes my entire reader base after I was thinking thinking the words YOU SUCK would be a nice illustration for a post about spam. So.. who wants cheap viagra?:)
